We kicked off our New Worship by talking about prayer and all the different ways to pray.
When we look at the book of Psalms, we can read 150 different prayers. Some prayers are thanksgiving, some are crying out for forgiveness. Often our prayers are of supplication (petitioning God or asking for something).
I love the Lord, because he has heard my voice and my pleas for mercy. Because he inclined his ear to me, therefore I will call on him as long as I live. Psalm 116:1-2This week, write down your prayers in a journal and see what God reveals to you.

So many times, we can get discouraged and think God doesn't listen or respond to our prayers. We can feel like we're only involved in a one-sided conversation. This experiment challenges us to look for the way God works when we pray.
